about me

I started this blog, Natural Selection, in July of 2009 when I was in the nascent stages of going natural.  My writing is a way of sharing with you and the rest of the world my thoughts and unique experiences that I’m going through as I rediscover a part of myself that has been actively hidden for the past decade and a half.

it is a personal philosophy that curiosity could never kill, will certainly only make you stronger, and, at the very least, will inspire some good writing. the result: me, a quirky urban adventurer fueled by a lifelong love of learning and the desire to share it with the world.

by the way, my hair is named Lola.  if you’re wondering about why I’m always dropping that name.

read. enjoy. learn. comment.

thanks for visiting!

Welcome!

    Hey,
We met several weeks ago on my way out of Nopalita…I was stopped by your amazing hair. I have an 5yo African American daughter…so I think about hair all the time. We’re on our way to London this July for 2 years, but I look forward to reading your blog from the UK. Cheers,
    Stephen

      Hi Stephen!

So glad you got in touch and came to the blog to read a bit more! Good luck in the meantime and if you need any product /stylist recommendations for the UK, I’ve actually heard of a few good ones on the ground over there so let me know!

      Take care,
      C
