Product Junkie Philanthropy (a.k.a. A Giveaway)

I know I haven’t really written any updates about my devolution into becoming a Product Junkie  since my product overdose, but for better or for worse, I can’t deny it: I am a full fledged PJ.

You know, some days are better than others and maybe a week here or there passes where I don’t make any new product purchases.  But other days….oh, those other days….I’ll be quietly minding my own and I get this itch, an itch to buy a new product.  Often times its triggered by reading a blog post about some revolutionary curl-definer or getting a recommendation about “THE BEST CONDITIONER EVER”, or lurking on a 7-page thread on a forum about how such-and-such brand is worth its weight in gold.  I’ll try to ignore it, but if the product review, visual evidence and/or ingredient list is compelling enough, that little itch becomes this burning urge to BUY IT AND BUY IT NOW NOW NOW.  “Its not for me, its for Lola,” I rationalize to myself.  Try as I might to concentrate, all I can focus on is getting my paws on that little jar/bottle/tube of glory.  This urge grows and grows and can annoyingly last for hours or days before I just give in and buy it so that I move forward with my life.  Done and done.  The itch has been scratched and all is right in the world.

Another thing that my PJ-self is a sucker for is a good deal/and or a sale! One product that I stumbled upon in my quest for the perfect moisturizer was Qhemet Biologics‘ Burdock Root Butter Cream.  Its lemony scent and light creamy texture makes Lola feel like cashmere!   I effing love this stuff!  I bought a sample of this about a month and a half ago and it was truly love at first opening-of-a-jar.  When I went to purchase the larger size, I was so so so  sad to discover that I wouldn’t be able to satisfy the itch for another month because they were shutting down the store to prepare for a huge sale on Friday May 7th.  I mean, talk about bittersweet: no immediate gratification, but waiting = sale.
